As of January 1, 2019, schools may only have
volunteers who are registered on the portal and have completed
all the requirements for approval.
- New volunteers and volunteers whose CBC/VSS has expired must register on
the portal, complete the registration steps and provide an original,
updated CBC/VSS to the school
- Volunteers who received a
letter with a unique I.D. code must complete their registration,
including their annual offence declaration, on the portal by December
31, 2018 at the very latest – the unique I.D. will expire after this
date. If registration is not completed using the unique I.D., these
volunteers will be not be permitted to volunteer until they have
provided a new CBC/VSS for review and will be required to register on
the portal as a new volunteer.
