Protocols For Halloween Treats and Costumes.http://goo.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/183Protocols For Halloween Treats and Costumes.<p><font class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-0">We are encouraging students to wear orange and black this Friday for Halloween.  For those not wanting to wear orange and black,  students could choose to wear a costume; however, both options are completely optional. </font></p><p><span class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-0">As per the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit's protocols, no food, non-food treats or costume accessories (e.g. Halloween masks, swords, etc.)  are permitted. Additionally, the wearing of masks (Covid protocols) for grade 4-8 remains intact. </span></p><p><span class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-2-0">We thank you for your cooperation. </span></p>
Mental Health Walkhttp://goo.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/181Mental Health Walk<p><span class="ms-rteFontSize-3" style="color:#434343;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;">Mental Health does not scare Goodfellow Gators:  Friday, 30, October, starting at 10:15 am the junior and intermediate students will be participating in a walk through our community to raise awareness for mental health.  Primary students will participate in a costume parade in the school yard.  Students are welcome to wear appropriate costumes or wear orange and black.  Students will be walking in their class cohorts and will be physically distanced from other cohorts.  Please feel free to give us a wave to show your support as we pass by.  We will proceed along Joseph Street, 25<sup>th</sup> Sideroad, Jack Crescent, Warrington Way, Leslie and back along the 25<sup>th</sup> to school.  </span></p><p><span class="ms-rteFontSize-3">If you have not yet returned your permission form for your child to participate in community walks, please do so as soon as possible.</span><br></p> <p><span style="color:#434343;font-family:"arial",sans-serif;font-size:15pt;"><br></span></p> <p>​</p>

The Alcona Tim Horton's bakers made over 12 000 cookies alone. Students will have instruction from their teachers regarding how to enter the school and the use of coat racks at this time being only for coats. It is essential that students put any hats or mittens in the sleeve of their coat to prevent individual student belongings from coming in contact with other students belongings in order to mitigate any possibility of exposure. This support may be through enhancing the curriculum, differentiated instruction and through providing program modifications. Once the school receives the results, you will be contacted, and these results will be shared with you.
